Periwinkle is a spreading evergreen herbaceous perennialwith smooth upright stems and rich green foliage. Solidary pale lavender blue flowers bloom in late spring into summer, and intermittently from summer into fall. Grows best withpart shadeand moist rich well-drained soils. Can tolerate to near full shade and drought.
NOTE: Once established will grow aggressively- Listed as invasive in Georgia.
MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance. No serious pests or diseases. Watch for vinca stem blight. LANDSCAPE USES: Accents or Group Plantings, Borders, Naturalized Areas, Woodland Gardens, Rock Gardens, and Containers.
