Big Bang Spirea is a compact upright mounding deciduous shrub with serrated leaves that emerge a rich orange and matures to bright green before regaining a golden orange glow in fall. Very showy and dense flat-topped clusters of pink flowers bloom from late spring through summer. Grows best infull sunand well-drained soils. Drought tolerant once established, tolerates light shade.
MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance. Flowers on new growth, to prune as needed in winter or early spring. Potential issues include leaf spot, blight, root rot, powdery mildew, aphids, rollers, and scale.
