Magic Carpet Spirea is a compact spreading deciduous shrub with oval sharp-toothed foliage that emerges red and matures to various shades of gold depending on the amount of sun before turning russet in fall. Flat-topped clusters of bright pink flowers cover the plant throughout summer to mid fall. Best color in full sun and well-drained soils. Removed spent flowers to encourage additional bloom.
