Otto Luyken English Laurel is a compact evergreen shrub with no fall color that can reach 6-10’ if left unpruned.  Upright panicle clusters of strongly fragrant white flowers bloom in spring and are followed by small black drupes in summer.  In warmer climates, flowers best in part sun and rich moist well-drained soils.  Otto Luyken has better pest resistance.
