Snow Fountains Weeping Higan Cherry is a slow-growing small deciduous tree with naturally cascading branches that reach the ground and bark with prominent horizontal stripes. A heavy bloom of the fragrant white flowers s coat the bare branches in spring attracting butterflies. It's simple green leaves turn attractive shades of gold and orange in fall. Flowers best in full sun and rich moist well-drained soils. Higan has good disease resistance.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance. Pests and diseases can be a problem. Watch for aphids, scale, borers, caterpillars, beetles and spider mites. Potential diseases include leaf spot, dieback, leaf curl, powdery mildew, root rot, and fireblight. Cherries have weak wood and are susceptible to breakage.
