Early Sensation Hydrangea is a compact deciduous shrub with an upright habit and pointed dark green foliage on burgundy stems. The large conical panicles open white in early summer, deepen to red-pink or pink with blue overtones depending on the soils PH, and continue throughout summer.  While it can tolerate full sun, its best blooms are in part sun and rich, moist well-drained acidic soils.
