Mexican Lime is a vigorous fruit-producing evergreen shrub with pleasantly aromatic deep green foliage that emerges with a purple tint and highly fragrant juicy fruits that ripen in winter.  The lightly fragrant white flowers my bloom while the fruit is still ripening allowing for continuous harvest.  The firm fruits have thin smooth peels that ripen to pale yellow and green-yellow flesh that is very acidic and flavorful.  Grows best in full sun and loamy well-drained acidic soils.  Cannot tolerate frost.  Key Lime has improved disease and pest resistance.
