Carol Mackie Daphne is a small semi-evergreen shrub with variegated whorls of dark green leathery foliage edged in cream.  The highly fragrant pale, near-white pink flowers bloom in late spring.  Red berries follow in fall.  Grows best in part shade and rich, well drained soils.
