Arctic Fire® Yellow Twig Dogwood is a striking shrub noted for its cheerful yellow stems that stand out in the winter. Its attractive green leaves also turn yellow in fall. The clusters of white flowers bloom on old wood in late spring and are followed by white berries. Grows best in part shade and well-drained soil.
MAINTENANCE NEEDS:Low Maintenance. Pruning in late spring stimulates new growth, which has the best color. Plants become more vulnerable to diseases in hot summer climates south of zone 7. Susceptible to leaf and stem blights, canker, and leaf spot. Mulching will help keep roots cool in summer.
