Musashino Zelkova is a upward branching deciduous tree with a tight columnar crown and bark that exfoliates when mature. The lightly toothed foliage is a medium green that turns yellow to rusty red-orange in fall. Insignificant green flowers in spring give way to non-showy fruits in fall. Best color with full sun and rich, moist well-drained soils. Tolerates drought, urban conditions, and salt.
