Radicans Japanese Cedar, is a fast growing conifer tree with pyramidal habit and dense, dark green, needle-like leaves that spiral around the branchlets. While it doesn't produce noticeable flowers, it does bear small, round cones. Thrives best in full sun to partial shade and prefers moist, well-drained soils. Radicans is particularly noted for its resistance to wind and its ability to maintain a central leader, making it an outstanding choice for a specimen tree or windbreak.
MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance. Tolerates light shade. Do not let soils dry out. Leaf blight and leaf spot can be occasional problems.
