Pocahontas Lilac is a large upright deciduous shrub with dark green foliage that turns bronzy red in fall. Panicles of maroon violet buds open to fragrant violet flowers that bloom heavily from early to mid spring. Best flowering with full sun and rich, moist well-drained neutral soils.
