Shoal Creek Chaste Tree is a very small vase-shaped deciduous tree with dense fragrant grey-green lance-like foliage. Long panicles of fragrant lilac flowers open midsummer on new growth. Flowers are highly attractive to butterflies and bees. Flowers best withfull sun and moist well-drained soils.
MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance. Water regularly. Prune as wanted in spring to promote blooms. Leaf spot and root rot are occasional problems. LANDSCAPE USES: Accents or Group Plantings, Borders, Naturalized Areas, Wildlife Gardens, Hedges, Foundation Plantings, and Containers.
