Redvein Enkianthus is a compact deciduous shrub with a rounded habit and green leaves with downy undersides that turn shades of yellow and orange, or bright scarlet in fall.  Hanging clusters of fragrant white bell-like flowers bloom in early spring. Thrives in part sun and rich, moist, well-drained acidic soils.  Does well with clay soils, but will suffer in drought.
