Purple Leaf Plum is a stunning ornamental flowering plum tree with a vase-shaped to rounded crown known for its deep purple foliage. A beautiful display of near white to white fragrant flowers bloom in clusters on bare branches in early spring. While edible, the fruiting is insignificant.  Grows best in full sun and well-drained soils.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS:  Low Maintenance. Pests and diseases can be a problem.  Watch for aphids, scale, borers, caterpillars, beetles and spider mites. Potential diseases include leaf spot, dieback, leaf curl, powdery mildew, root rot, and fireblight.  Cherries have weak wood and are susceptible to breakage.
