Kramer's Red Heath is a compact, vigorous evergreen shrub with a low-mounding habit and near black needle like foliage. The abundant magenta bell shaped flowers bloom on one sided raceme from late winter to mid spring.  Best bloom in part sun and rich, consistently moist, well-drained acidic soils.  

Also sold as 'Kramer's Red'.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS:   Low maintenance.  No serious pests or diseases. Watch for powdery mildew, rust, and wilt.  Intolerant of heavy pruning (down to the wood), but trimming half the leaf stems will encourage denser growth.

LANDSCAPE USES:  Accents or Group Plantings, Edges, Woodland Gardens, Pond or Stream Sides, Rock Gardens, and Containers.
