Tardiva Hydrangea is a large fast-growing deciduous shrub with rich green foliage that turns yellow to purple tinged in fall.  The loosely packed upright panicles bloom white and mature to purplish pink, and typically cause the branches to arch downward These flowers persist until frost attracting butterflies and pollinators.  While it can tolerate full sun, its best blooms are in part sun and rich, moist well-drained acidic soils.
