Paperbark Maple is a small upright branching deciduous tree with an oval crown that is known for its attractive, heavily exfoliating copper-orange to cinnamon bark.  Leaves are medium green with finely haired frosty blue-green to gray-green undersides and turn a showy orange to red in fall.  Grows best in full sun and slightly acidic, moist well-drained soils.  Intolerant of drought.
