Hinoki False Cypress, also known as Chamaecyparis obtusa, is a beautiful evergreen tree native to Japan. It is highly valued for its elegant, dense foliage and unique texture. Hinoki False Cypress is often used in landscaping as a specimen tree or as a hedge. It prefers partial shade to full sun and well-drained soil.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance.  Water regularly but needs well-drained soil.  Juniper blight, root rot, and certain insect pests can be issues if soil to wet. Shelter from hard winds.  In southern climates, young plants may burn with direct afternoon sun.
