Autumn Jazz Viburnum is a native deciduous shrub with an upright mounding habit and shiny, deeply veined dark green foliage that turns burgundy in fall.  Flat-topped clusters of fragrant creamy white flowers bloom in late spring and are followed by abundant blue-black drupes in summer that persist in winter.  Flowers best in loamy, moist well-drained soils.  Drought tolerant once established.

Viburnum dentatum also acts as a host for the Spring Azure butterfly.
