Navaho Blackberry is an upright deciduous shrub that produces medium blackberries midseason for 5-6 weeks and has sturdy erect canes that do not need staking.  The pink-white rose-like flowers give way to clusters of sweet fruits which ripen in summer.  Fruits best in full sun and rich, moist, slightly acidic well-drained soils. Navaho is tolerant of rosett but susceptible to orange rust an has a high chill requirement.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS:  Medium Maintenance.  Water regularly. Remove fruiting canes to the ground immediately after harvest, non-fruiting canes can be tip pruned in summer.  Generally performs best when staked. Wilt, Anthracnose, and botrytis can be serious disease problems. Cane and crown borers are potential pest issues.
