Japanese Tree Lilac is a trouble-free flowering tree that has a dense oval crown and dark green foliage with no fall color. Long upright panicles of fragrant, creamy white flowers bloom heavily in late spring. Best flowering with full sun and rich, well-drained acidic soils. Tolerates light shade, heavy clay, urban condition, and deer. It is also resistant to most common lilac issues.
