Pinky Winky Hydrangea paniculata is a tall mounding deciduous shrub with upright stems and leathery green leaves. The small cone-shaped panicles open white and mature to a rich pink at the base creating a long-lasting two tone effect as they continue to grow as summer progresses until they hit 16" in length in early fall. While can tolerate full sun, its best blooms are in part sun and rich, moist well-drained acidic soils.
