London Planetree is a large, deciduous tree with a pyramidal crown that opens with age and exfoliating bark. The palmate dark green foliage is darker underneath with coarse teeth and turns yellow-brown in fall. Grows best in full sun and moist to wet well-drained soils. Tolerates urban conditions and deer resistant.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: High Maintenance. Water regularly. A messy tree with leaf, bark and fruit litter. Cankerstain is a concern that can be fatal. Anthracnose, leaf spot, canker, and powdery mildew may occur. Pests include Japanese beetles, borers, scale, and mites.
