Moraine Sweetgum is a medium native deciduous tree with a straight trunk and a upright oval habit that opens with age. The glossy green star-shaped leaves turns a brilliant red in fall. Female flowers give way to the distinctive spiky ‘gumball’ seedpods. Best color in full sunand moist well-drained soil. Tolerates wet soils.
