Dwarf Sawara Cypress

Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Nana'

 Dwarf Sawara Cypress is a dwarf evergreen conifer shrub that forms a small mound of dense feathery foliage that stays pale green in winter and has silvery undersides.  Prefers full sun and moist well-drained soil.  

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance.  Water regularly but needs well-drained soil.  Juniper blight, root rot, and certain insect pests can be issues if soil to wet. Shelter from hard winds.  

 LANDSCAPE USES:  Specimen or Groups plantings, Borders, Woodland Gardens, Rock Garden, Foundation Planting, Hedges, and Containers.

COMPANION PLANTS: Maiden Grass, Juniper, Black-eyed Susan
