Emerald Sentinel Red Cedar is a small and narrow fast-growing coniferous tree that has a dense pyramidal habit and rich green scale-like foliage with minimal bronzing in winter.  Emerald Sentinel is a female cultivar that produces a heavy crop of dusky blue berries in late summer that last through winter.  Best planted in full sun and well-drained soils. Has excellent disease resistance and is drought tolerant once established.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS:  Low Maintenance.  Junipers are generally susceptible to blights, especially in unusually wet weather.  Rust and canker may occur, though it is not serious.  Potential pests include aphids, bagworms, webworms, and scale.
